Introduction
SUPERON Ag 40N is an economical silver brazing alloy offering good wetting characteristics and reliable performance. Composed of 40% silver, 30% copper, 28% zinc, and 2% nickel, it operates at 730°C and meets international standards BACuAg18 and BAg-4. Widely used for carbide tip brazing, the addition of nickel enhances joint strength and wetting, though its relatively high melting point restricts applications to areas where elevated temperatures are acceptable. This alloy is best suited for heavy-duty brazing operations requiring durable and stress-resistant joints.
Applications
A budget-friendly alloy with outstanding wetting properties, commonly used for carbide tip brazing.
