Introduction
SUPERON Ag 21Cd is a silver brazing alloy composed of 21% silver, 35.5% copper, 26.5% zinc, 16.5% cadmium, and 0.5% silicon. With an operating temperature of 720°C, it conforms to the international standard AG 308. This alloy offers good flow and filler formation, making it suitable for bridging moderate gaps and producing strong, durable joints in general-purpose brazing applications.
Applications
SUPERON Ag 25Cd Hi, 25Cd, and 20Cd provide excellent filler formation and effectively bridge wide gaps. However, their broad melting range restricts their applications, making them more susceptible to liquation and requiring careful handling during brazing. Consequently, they are not typically recommended for applications with slow heating rates.
