Introduction
SUPERON Ag 20Cd is a silver brazing alloy containing 20% silver, 40% copper, 25% zinc, and 15% cadmium. It operates at 750°C and complies with international standards AG 309 and L-Ag20Cd. This alloy provides good flow and joint strength, making it suitable for general-purpose brazing where an economical, cadmium-containing filler metal is acceptable.
Applications
SUPERON Ag 25Cd Hi, 25Cd, and 20Cd provide excellent filler formation and effectively bridge wide gaps. However, their broad melting range restricts their applications, making them more susceptible to liquation and requiring careful handling during brazing. Consequently, they are not typically recommended for applications with slow heating rates.
