Introduction

SUPERON Ag 56 Sn is a low-melting silver brazing filler metal designed for applications requiring excellent flow and wetting properties. With a composition of 56% silver, 22% copper, 17% zinc, and 5% tin, it operates at 650°C, making it particularly suitable for brazing at lower temperatures. The addition of tin improves wetting characteristics while minimizing the risk of stress corrosion cracking in nickel and nickel-based alloys. Widely used in the dairy and food industry, this alloy is ideal for manufacturing food equipment where cadmium-free materials are mandatory. After brazing, it provides a close color match with stainless steel and other metals, ensuring both durability and an aesthetically clean finish. Conforming to international standards BACuAg8, Ag102, and BAg-7, SUPERON Ag 56 Sn is a trusted choice for hygienic and corrosion-resistant brazing applications.
