347Si / 347LSi

Superon 347Si / 347LSi is supplied as a precision layer-wound solid MIG welding wire. It conforms to ER 347Si and ER 347LSi classifications and is suitable for use with argon-based shielding gas mixtures such as argon with oxygen or argon with carbon dioxide. The deposited weld metal offers excellent resistance to corrosive media and performs reliably in stainless steel structures operating at elevated service temperatures.
Key Features and Benefits
347Si/347LSi is designed to deliver reliable welding performance in stainless steel applications operating in corrosive environments.
- Niobium Stabilised Weld Metal: Deposits a 19 chromium and 9 nickel weld metal stabilised with niobium to resist intergranular corrosion.
- Smooth Weld Bead Appearance: The silicon content helps produce a smooth bead shape and good wetting during welding.
- High Resistance To Corrosive Media: Performs well at service temperatures where corrosion resistance is important.
- Stable Arc Performance: Provides steady arc characteristics when used with recommended shielding gases.
- Wide Application Range: Suitable for the fabrication of pipes, plates, and pressure vessels.
- Consistent Mechanical Properties: Maintains strength, ductility, and impact resistance in welded joints.
These features make 347Si suitable for both shop fabrication and site welding applications.
